One very important thing I would like to cover is why the clock has absolutely no value from my perspective, and why using it is absolutely not required in using the Mayan calendar. The clock is required in order to keep track of when a day ends and a new day begins. Without the clock you wouldn’t know when to go to get up, when to go to work, or how to function. Many societies are completely lost and dependent on the clock which is a very scary fact.
The reason the clock isn’t necessary within the Mayan calendar is because it’s not used to determine the beginning of a new day. Rather, the tool the Maya used to determine a new day was something very different from what people use to mark the beginning of a new day in today’s time. The Maya felt that the sun was the best tool to use to figure out when a day ended and a new day began. Imagine that, they used a completely natural and obvious tool along with their calendar. A calendar which was used to keep track of the completely natural rhythms and cycles of the evolution of consciousness.
When calculating someone’s Mayan birthday who was born in the early morning hours and before sunrise, you must use the previous date in order to get an accurate calculation. The Mayan calendar is not just a calendar, it has a much larger purpose than to show you what day it is. This calendar system has a very deep rooted connection to the growth of consciousness. When I see the sun come up over the horizon I know a new day started hours ago according to the Gregorian calendar. I feel the energy shift at that moment and I know at the very core of my being that this is when the new day begins. That calm moment when you realize there must be something bigger to this calendar to be able to notice something so huge, yet so small depending on your perspective.
Next time you’re awake before the sun rises try an experiment for yourself. Just watch and wait for the sun to rise and before it does pay very close attention to the way you feel and to the energy around you. Notice every tiny detail and then when it starts to get closer to the edge of the horizon just start being aware of the information I covered in this entry. Be very conscious of the shift and see if you’re able to notice what I’ve noticed. I am very curious to hear about other people’s perspective, so feel free to comment and share your experience.

So maybe you can help me? I was born at 6:35am and the sun rose that day at 7am - does that mean I have to calculate for the day before my birthday? And a friends was born at 3am, does that mean he has to do the same? I have been searching all over for this information - please can you provide me with the correct answer? I long to know the truth for this so I can adjust knowing accordingly!
Many thanks, in gratitude,

A new day is when the sun rises, not when the clock hits a specific time. I would calculate for the day before and see how that looks.
