This is something that was posted about the 6th “Day” that I wanted to share with all of you. What a perfect time for me to force myself to get back into the daily or almost daily routine of posting again, even if it’s only a few sentences. This was posted on tzolkincalendar.com and reposted on mayanmajix.com. William and Viola who wrote this also post a new blurb about the 13-day Trecenas every 13 days to help give you a better understanding and allow you to see a new perspective into each of these cycles and I think they have done a wonderful job in explaining them. So with that said here is William and Viola’s post about the 6th “Day”.
The Sixth Day heralds a time of flowering for the plant - awakening, unfolding, and opening up to new possibilities. Most scholars use the words “enlightenment” and “renaissance” to define this creative period. Historically, the Sixth Day on other levels or cycles corresponded to the invention of tools, first attempts at agriculture and building shelter; the European Renaissance itself; and the flower children movement of the 1960’s.
This Heaven of Light, the Sixth Day, begins with 13 Imix on the Sacred Calendar, the Tzolkin. The number 13 represents co-creation, unconditional love and culmination of spiritual enlightenment. The number 13 is the final number in the sequence of 13 numbers of the Tzolkin. Imix is the first of the 20 day signs comprising the Tzolkin. Imix is symbolized by the Crocodile and the Waterlily – beginning, receptivity, trust, Earth Mother, nourishment, protection, primordial ocean of possibilities.
The intention of the enlightenment or ascension energy combined with the primal energy of Imix gives us the ability to feel a new era unfolding.
As we transit from the twilight of the Fifth Night into the twilight of the Sixth Day, our burdens become lighter as we discard what no longer serves us in order to evolve to the next stage of growth in this new reality. Just as a plant follows the Fibonacci Sequence by looking back in order to evolve, humanity has a unique opportunity to look back to our ancestors and incorporate ancestral knowledge in order to evolve into our true destiny of being co-creators and caretakers of this beautiful planet we call Earth or Gaia.
With time acceleration and the concrescence of novelty becoming more apparent to individuals, and as more individuals begin to open to awareness and the increased photon field that we seem to be moving through, we realize that our minds alone cannot keep up with the evolutionary changes. It has become necessary to rely upon our instincts and feelings to navigate through this new vibrational field.
In order to continue to the next growth stage in this fantastic journey, we must not only incorporate ancient wisdom by performing sacred ceremonies and rituals, but also tune into our instinctual knowledge. As the number of choices we are called upon to make increase, let our intuition guide us along the ascending path. Consciously choose to take the high road – be positive, loving and compassionate – choose love over fear or anger.
The Fifth Night saw the beginning of the end of dominance. Dominance on every level is beginning to fall away: dominance of governments, religions, corporations, individuals, and ego. Each individual will begin to realize their own worth as dominance falls away. Each will feel their own purpose, their own responsibility, and begin to realize their full potential as loving human beings.
To maximize the incoming influx of light energies and to better handle the rapid changes, it is very important to stay grounded. Incorporate a daily movement practice such as qigong, tai chi, yoga; meditation; perform ceremonies and rituals, even just lighting a candle and offering a prayer; practice kindness and compassion; maintain a good diet and a positive attitude; and follow the Mayan Sacred Calendar – the Tzolkin. As we go into the Sixth Day, let us each be like the bud of a flower, ready to open to our full beauty. Let us embrace the ascending spiral of light with a flame of hope and gratitude in our hearts.

The 6th Day of the Galactic cycle begins November 13th 2008 (13/Imix). This period comes after the darkest period within the Underworld, (the 5th Night) which is ruled by The Lord of Darkness. This 5th Night was very rough and challenging and many of us experienced some very dark times. I would like to express that those experiences allowed each of to grow, to strengthen ourselves, and to push for something better. We are getting closer and closer to uniting with each other and putting everything aside to achieve one primary goal. I feel the warmth coming, I feel positive and optimistic about where we are heading.
One huge topic that has recently happened here in the United States but has made many people happy in countries all over the planet is Obama’s victory in the 2008 election. Obama will be the first African American president and I don’t care who you are, the message he has been saying is something everyone should agree on. Set your religion aside, set your greed aside and please become aware how important it is for each of us to unite and build something better.
Each day within an Underworld can be compared to a specific part of a plant’s life. The 6th day is the period in which the plant flowers and prepares for fruition. Our galactic consciousness is about to flower and that to me is extremely positive and hopeful. I can practically feel the explosion about to take place and I for one am very happy with the direction we are now taking.
Back to Obama’s victory, I think the Obama haters really need to reevaluate their situation and ask why they hate him so much. Are you racist, ignorant, or do you have your own greedy agendas? Seriously, if you are reading this and you absolutely hate Obama, do me a favor and take a step outside yourself and try to point out why you hate him. Do your research; don’t just believe what the media tells you. Search deep within yourself and find out how you feel, what you believe, and ask yourself why you feel that way.
I for one believe Obama will bring the changes we need to complete our journey towards full unification and enlightenment as a species. Be hopeful, have faith that things are as they should be, and don’t allow fear into your life. For each of us are one and we all have more potential than we realize.

What the Maya say about the dreamspell
“Regarding the dreamspell and work of Argüelles: It has been made clear, I think everybody here understands the need to distinguish this system from any relation to the Mayan tradition. […] This is the wish of the elders, that the confusion and misrepresentation cease.”
“In my view, the central message of the Mayan calendar is that we are living in an exact divine time plan that has a higher purpose in store for humanity at the completion of linear time. If we are able to make this time plan conscious to broader groups of people the prospects of this intended divine time plan manifesting will directly increase. Yet, in many parts of the world broad groups of people are blocked from knowledge about the divine time plan because the Dreamspell/Thirteen Moon calendar falsely has been presented as the Mayan calendar and hence this calendar still needs to be discussed.”
-Dr. Carl Johan Calleman
The dreamspell/13 Moon Calendar
A calendar has a very vital role in the events that occur within a society. It points out what days to celebrate, use as traditions and the days to consider holidays. The calendar is the dead center of any civilization and has such a deep grasp that the people within that society are typically very unaware of the power their particular calendar has on their consciousness.
The Gregorian calendar is based on repetitive rotations of the Earth around the sun. The span of years never changes because this cycle never changes, which results in the consciousness that everything is dead matter for us to exploit and use for our needs, wants and desires.
The dreamspell calendar is directly connected to the Gregorian calendar and is a very mechanical calendar that is based on the astronomical year. The moon has a cycle of 29.5 days rather than 28 like the dreamspell claims, which is what this system is based on entirely
The dreamspell calendar claims that the end of the Mayan calendar is December 21st 2012 when in fact the true Mayan calendar ends on October 28th 2011. This is why it’s so important for people to understand the dangers of the dreamspell calendar.
3 Main differences
1) The dreamspell jumps a day on leap year (every four years). In other words February 29th is not considered a day on the dreamspell calendar. Because of this, one day every four years is removed from the calendar. They refer to this day as the “day out of time”. The Maya understand that each day has a sign and a number assigned to it without any exception. The key thing to understand with this specific difference is the fact that leap year is an event that happens within the Gregorian calendar and was not even put into place until 1582 by Pope Gregory. How could this be the true Mayan calendar when one of the primary parts wasn’t even established until the late 1500’s?
2) The Tzolkin has a connection to the 13 Baktun cycle within the prophetic Tun calendar, known as the Long Count. This same 13 step process is directly connected to the smaller cycles of Trecenas (13 day cycles). The smaller and larger examples of this 13 step process reproduce the same energies of time. Since the dreamspell makes a shift every four years on February 29th the flow will only stay consistent for 4 years until making a new shift. The True Mayan calendar remains in the same flow of creation because it doesn’t skip days and continues with the same flow and pattern it always has.
3) The prophetic Tun calendar is based entirely on non-physical cycles directly connected to the energies of time and evolution. The dreamspell however is connected to the solar year of our planet. The main difference to understand here is that the Mayan calendar relates not only to our planet but it also relates to every other planet within our solar system. It relates to every planet and every galaxy within the entire Universe. The Tun calendar began with the initial event known as the Big Bang, which itself is connected to the universe as a whole. With this being said the Mayan calendar is equally valid on Earth as it is on Mars or any other planet within the Universe. It makes no difference how long the year is on any of these planets because the true Mayan calendar isn’t calculating any astrological cycles.
The dreamspell has made a huge impact on the awareness of the true Mayan calendar and I do not support the dreamspell in any way. It’s very important for people to understand the differences between these calendars and to realize that the Maya people do not consider the dreamspell to be their calendar, nor have they ever. For more information about the dreamspell calendar I suggest reading Carl Calleman’s articles on his website located at calleman.com

Each Underworld within the Tun calendar is divided into thirteen equal sections referred to the 13 Heavens or 7 Days and 6 Nights. These Days and Nights are each ruled by a specific deity. The events that occur within these Heavens manifest according to the energy of the 13 deities. This includes major events like the actions of governments, as well as the smaller actions of every individual. By becoming conscious of this 13-step cycle you begin to see a much larger picture when coupled with the comprehension of the 9 Underworlds.
Each Underworld begins with an initial event that kicks off the incoming consciousness. The 7 Days (of divine creation) are all new opportunities for a growth in consciousness to occur. The 6 Nights are a time of rest and application, any new developments that take place within a day are usually applied within the following Night. The 7 Days are also related to a different stage in a plant’s life. This begins with the development of a seed and as we work our way through stage by stage developing our new incoming consciousness, our new seed begins to flower and soon after develop its fruit. We are currently between the flowering and fruition of our Galactic consciousness and on November 13th 2008 the fruition process will begin.

The 9 Underworlds of the Tun are one of the most interesting topics to cover in my opinion. They begin with a Cellular cycle and continue stage by stage as the collective consciousness evolves on a very clear schedule. As I have already covered, each Underworld is divided into 13 equal parts (also known as the 13 Heavens, or the 7 Days and 6 Nights) which I will be covering in the next part of this series. First, I will be covering the individual Underworlds, showing you the type of consciousness each of them is developing.

Today I will be introducing a new series which will focus on the Tun (toon) calendar system. Learning about the Tun is a great opportunity to get to the deeper information. This will also give you the opportunity to really discover what the calendar system is all about. Rather than the Mayan calendar ending in 2012 with a major negative catastrophic event, it ends October 28, 2011. I will show you why the end of this calendar system has a much more positive result. I will be covering this information in stages as I have so far with the Tzolkin series. I will first cover the basics and then move into the details. Eventually I will cover information related to events happening today and show you how they are directly connected with this calendar.
