The 9 Underworlds of the Tun are one of the most interesting topics to cover in my opinion. They begin with a Cellular cycle and continue stage by stage as the collective consciousness evolves on a very clear schedule. As I have already covered, each Underworld is divided into 13 equal parts (also known as the 13 Heavens, or the 7 Days and 6 Nights) which I will be covering in the next part of this series. First, I will be covering the individual Underworlds, showing you the type of consciousness each of them is developing.
Cycles of the Tun
Before we dive into the details of each Underworld I would like to cover the various cycles within the Tun calendar. I will start with the basics and work my way to the more advanced larger cycles. In my opinion, covering this information first will make the rest of this information a bit easier to follow.
The Cellular Cycle (Unitary)
Length of Underworld: 13 Hablatun
Beginning of Underworld: 16.4 Billion Years Ago
Length of Days & Nights: 1.26 Billion Years
Mode: Action & Reaction
The Cellular cycle is the first of the 9 Underworlds and it began with an initial event known as the “Big Bang”. The beginning of this cycle laid the foundation giving consciousness something that it could work with. This Underworld is primarily about the development of matter and events based on action followed up by a reaction. The reactions continued for billions of years and as a result a cellular consciousness emerged.
The Mammalian Cycle (Dualistic)
Length of Underworld: 13 Alautun
Beginning of Underworld: 840 Million Years Ago
Length of Days & Nights: 63.1 Million Years
Mode: Stimulus & Response
The Mammalian cycle is the second Underworld within the Tun calendar. The initial event for this cycle was the beginning of complex life and the evolution of life out of the water and eventually into mammals. Stage by stage animals evolved towards something more complex, and more intelligent making it easier to survive in the world. This cycle functions entirely on stimulus and response and had an individual consciousness emerge as a result.
The Family Cycle (Unitary)
Length of Underworld: 13 Kinchiltun
Beginning of Underworld: 41 Million Years Ago
Length of Days & Nights: 3.1 Million Years
Mode: Stimulus & Individual Response
This Familial cycle focused entirely on developing a more individual state of awareness. In doing so this created a much higher probability of survival among animals. Animals began to react more as an individual rather than a group like we see more of in the Mammalian Underworld. This cycle operated entirely on stimulus and individual response. The awareness of the individual really began to unfold at this time as the first monkeys emerged through the process of biological evolution, which created the consciousness of family.
The Tribal Cycle (Dualistic)
Length of Underworld: 13 Kalabtun
Beginning of Underworld: 2 Million Years Ago
Length of Days & Nights: 180,000 Years
Mode: Similarities & Differences
The beginning of the Tribal Underworld was the period in which the first humans began to emerge. The manifestations that occurred within this cycle were based entirely on similarities and differences. The birth of the first tribes began to appear as well as the awareness of fire. Humanity learned how to use fire to their advantage and by doing so ensured their survival through the coming ice age. This level developed a Tribal consciousness which is still active today in societies around the world.
The Cultural Cycle (Unitary)
Length of Underworld: 13 Piktun
Beginning of Underworld: 102,000 Years Ago
Length of Days & Nights: 7,900 Years
Mode: Reason
The Cultural cycle was the midpoint the 9 Underworlds and with it came the first spoken language. This cycle operated on the awareness of shared reasons and humanity understood that every event happened for a reason. The development of art also began to appear in caves during this cycle. Using this new type of communication along with the new spoken language allowed consciousness to take a giant leap forward. This leap resulted in the extinction of the Neanderthal simply because it kept the same way of life and did not embrace change. This Underworld transformed humanity and produced a new Cultural consciousness as a result.
The National Cycle (Dualistic)
Length of Underworld: 13 Baktun
Beginning of Underworld: 5,116 Years Ago
Length of Days & Nights:396 Years
Mode: Law & Punishment
The National cycle began and along with its initiation came the birth of the world’s first nation, Egypt. The National Underworld was when writing first began to appear and it quickly spread across the globe. The message of Christ and the fall of Rome were both major events that also took place within this cycle. The National Underworld functioned on the new consciousness of law and punishment and by researching historic events you can see prime examples of this. The National consciousness spread until every corner of the planet had nations spawning almost out of thin air.
The Planetary Cycle (Unitary)
Length of Underworld: 13 Katun
Beginning of Underworld: 1755 AD
Length of Days & Nights: 19.7 Years
Mode: Power
The Planetary Underworld came and with it the Industrial revolution. This consciousness of Power within this cycle created greed, making people desire various types of power and ownership. Many people in high government positions controlled others around them as a result of this thirst for dominance. The development of communications was happening within this cycle and it began with the first theory of the telegraph. Soon after came the telephone, the radio, the television and the Internet. The creation of the Internet established a planetary consciousness which is becoming more and more available to people all over the planet.
The Galactic Cycle (Dualistic)
Length of Underworld: 13 Tun
Beginning of Underworld: January 5th 1999
Length of Days & Nights: 360 Days
Mode: Ethics
The Galactic cycle has been the most recent Underworld to begin (early January 1999) and with it the IT revolution emerged. This period has created an awareness of ethics which has forced itself into people, companies, and even many groups within society. Many governments and individuals who are afraid to lose their control have grown so attached to their power that they have attempted to use violence as an attempt to stay in control. However, this cycle’s purpose in to implement ethics into everything including those governments. People are becoming more conscious of the problems we face with the environment and how important the ethical choices no matter how big or small are drastically important to our survival. We are currently within the 10th stage of this Underworld which is also known as the 10th Heaven or 5th Night. When we begin the last step of this cycle, the 13th Heaven, we will develop a new Galactic consciousness.
The Universal Cycle (Unitary)
Length of Underworld: 13 Uinal
Beginning of Underworld: February 11 2011
Length of Days & Nights: 20 Days
Mode: Co-Creation
This final Universal cycle will develop a cosmic consciousness and will focus entirely on transformation. This cycle begins February 11th, 2011 and only lasts a total of 260 days. Each of the 9 Underworlds are still active, which means that all 9 of them end exactly the same day. The final day for the Tun calendar is October 28, 2011. We are in the process of evolving into our full potential, we will emerge with the awareness that we can consciously co-create our experience. We will develop a unified cosmic consciousness with absolutely no limitations or boundaries.
